Recently, Ztec has the privileged to host Nomad Floorball Club all the way from Sabah. The game was played on a Monday(20th April 2009). The Ztec Boys started to arrive from 2.15pm onwards only to realise that their opponents were already there training. Hmmm... This would surely give the Nomad's an advantage as their body were already in high gear compared to our boys who some were just after school.
Ter Min divided them into 3 lines of 4 players each before starting some light warm ups. After some snake drill and passes, the much awaited match began. Number to number, the teams looked equal with both having around the same amount of players.
It didnt take long before #9 Adrian Koay netted his first goal. Probally just 30seconds into the game. Nomad fought hard with very speedy forwards and huge tough defenders. However, Ztec who were the more experienced team overcame the pressure.
However a few shacky defending by Ztec prove costly as Nomad manage to hit in 4 goals. At the end, Ztec won the game by 24-4.
Ztec would like to thank Nomad Floorball Club for coming all the way down and we look forward to playing u guys someday. Keep up the sprit of Floorball!

REFLECTIONS
Hey People!!
Just a short one today.
Division 2 has ended but do not let the spirit of floorball die off. This is time that we reflect on how we performed, thinking of our past matches and working on that which has to be worked on.
Division 1 is on the way, so to all in ZTEC 8CERS, look to the coming months to prepare yourselves for the challenging times to come.
This is to all of ZTEC, train harder and train smarter, and come back stronger, faster, and better next year. We are one team, one passion so play the game with the passion, fire, and enthusiasm achieving greater success and bringing ZTEC to greater heights.

Friendly Against Nomad(Sabah)
Ztec are proud to be hosting Team Nomad from Sabah for a friendly. The match details are as followed.

Div 2 summary
On behalf of Ztec Floorball Club, we would like to congratulate Team Griffins and Phoenix for their display in this years Div 2 Penang League. Both team had put on a wonderful display in all their games with Phoenix beating all their opponents and being crown champions! Griffins on the other hand, never gave up without a fight.
Phoenix went all the way from Game 1 to Game 5 unbeaten. Griffins, gave a tough time to Contact Bullets and Frontliners where they only lost by a goal.
Ztec Phoenix.
Game 1 (Griffins) (3-0)
In their first game, they however struggle to beat their own team mates (Griffins) who played very well under coach Oliver and Jo Wyee. After much attempts, they finally hit 3 goals past the on form Leo Nard.
Our Man of the Match: #8 Siu Keong (keeping the defend line solid although shacky at times)
Game 2 (Dalat Falcons) (4-1)
Much anticipated match. Announced as one of the match of the season. Phoenix came in full of confidence beating the Falcons 4-1. Errors from Falcons goalie prove too costly for them.
Our MOM- #20 Yung Ming (Many superb save to keep Falcons at bay. If it wasn't for him, Phoenix might just be punished)
Game 3 (Firebrands) (6-3)
A game the players thought would be another confortable win but was proved otherwise by the ever improving Firebrands. A wake up call match for the defenders who concede 3 goals due to defensive errors.
Our MOM- #9 Adrian ( 2goals in this game and controlling the centre very well.)
Game 4 (Contact bullets) (7-2)
Another anticipated tough game for the Phoenix. Both teams were punished by goalie errors but it was Bullets who was proven more costly. Unlucky day for the Bullets.
Our MOM- #15 Samuel ( using his pace down the flank and pressuring the opponents defence was very effective on that game)
Game 5 (Frontliners 300) (3-0)
Would be a great game if only 300 won Firebrands in their previous match. With them drawing with Firebrands, this game basically was a game of pride for the Pheonix.
Our MOM- #9 Adrian Koay- Controlling the centre and cutting down the opponents passes)

Game 1 (Ztec Phoenix) (0-3)
Putting up a great fight against their fellow and bigger team mates. Defended very tight and was dangerous in the counter attacks.
Our MOM- #1 Leo Nard ( Stopping shots from all angles, keeping his team in the game)
Game 2 ( Firebrands) (2-1)
Came back from a goal down to win this game shows the mental strength in the players.
Our MOM- #18 Dominic Ewe ( Pressuring opponents defence and making important and dangerous runs into the middle. Even scored the equalizer.)
Game 3 ( Frontliners) (1-2)
Played without first choice goalie, Leo Nard. Players gave their best only losing at the end by 1 goal. Bravo!
Our MOM- #69 Amos (For stepping up in goal at the absence of Leo Nard and also taking over the captains armband. Had a great game in goal for a first timer.)
Game 4 ( Dalat Falcons) (2-6)
Taking a 2 goal lead against 2008 Division 2 champions was a great achievement. However lack of focus and seriousness prove costly for them where they conceded 6 goals.
Our MOM- #23 Brandon ( Scoring a marvelous free hit and also defending well throughot the game)
Game 5 ( Contact Bullets) (3-4)
Personally, our best game of the season. Such a nail bitting game. Players gave their all for this last match.
Our MOM- #69 Amos ( surely got to be this boy. Improving so much since his first game. scoring a hat trick and giving the Bullets defenders a tough time)
