The 3 on 3 Shoot-Out Floorball Tournament was held on the 19th January 2008.Our club have 2 teams which is the Ztec Alpha and Ztec Beta.Alpha consist of Joon Wooi,Jo-Wyee and Moy while Beta consist of Ken Wye,Oliver and Chern.They did a great job in this tournament and I'm proud that we managed to get the 2nd and 3rd placing.Ztec Beta was impressive as they go on through until the finals.In the first game,they managed to grab a victory against Avalanche from USM with a score of 2-1.They again met another USM team which is the Underdawgs.They played very well in this game and Chern did a good job in the defense.They cruised with a 3-0 win over them and met Frontliners Trojans in the quarter-finals.Once again,they proved that they have a high spirit and managed to defeat Trojans 3-2.Oliver and Ken Wye was on top form in this game and was playing at their best.
Ztec Alpha also did an amazing job having to defeat Frontliners Gladiators in the first game with a score of 2-0.They then met their toughest opponent which is Dalat and it was a nerve cracking game to watch.There were tensions around but Aplha managed to beat them 5-0 with Joon Wooi and Moy scoring one goal each and Jo-Wyee scoring a hat-trick in this game.They then cruised on to meet another tough opponent which is the Innebandy North and this they managed to beat them 3-2 thanks to the great effort of their captain,Joon Wooi.He even managed to grab a goal when they were playing with 2 mans after Jo-Wyee was give a 2 minute penalty.Credits to him as he played his very best in this game.
It was then the semi-finals and the two Ztec teams met with each other.It was Alpha against Beta.This game was also a great game to watch as Oliver was on fire scoring a hat-trick in this game.Alpha managed to get 2 goals back but it was too late for a win.Beta cruised on to the finals and Alpha met Salibandy for the 3rd placing.The winner of this game will meet Beta in the finals and the loser will get 3rd placing.Alpha was determined to win this game as they wanted to get another chance to go against Beta in the finals.However,they lost on penalty with a score of 3-1 after a 2-2 draw.Alpha did well in this game and I am proud of all of them.It was up to Beta to take revenge for Alpha in the finals when they meet Salibandy.Salibandy played very well in this game and managed to have a 4-0 lead.Everything looks like it is over for Beta but they managed to get a penalty and Oliver took his position to scored the penalty.The score was then 4-1 and Beta was determined to catch up.However,time was not on their side and Salibandy won the match.Nevertheless,both teams did very well and I am happy that we managed to get the 2nd and 3rd placing in this tournament.I hope that we will continue to excel in the upcoming tournaments.

Just another reminder that our training resumes this week.It is at the Red Crescent Headquarter from 12pm to 2pm.Members are required to be there at 11.30 for a physical training.Hope to see everybody there this Saturday!Have a great week ahead!
