The match started with both teams attacking from end to end before slowing down. At one point of the game, both teams were hesitant to even take a shot. However it was Firebrands #5 Daniel Tan who drew first blood after beating a shacky Griffins defends to row the ball past #1 Leo Nard who responded with a dive because he was expecting the forward to shoot.

#51 Yuh Ting came the closest in the first half to equalized but saw her effort went wide after a blind pass by a Firebrand defender into the middle of his penalty box. #12 Gim Hong and #69 Amos saw plenty of chances to grab the equalizer but failed to convert.

End of first period, the score was 1-0 to Firebrands.

The 2nd period started with The Griffins pushing up high and attacking from all corners. #18 Dominic Ewe could have scored early in the period but miss the ball during an open goal situation.
