Over the Anthill..... Once Again..

Ztec did it again, coming out with a comfortable victory against Contact Fireants with a score of 15-3. Although one might think that this was just another game, however this match was as important as any other match Ztec has played. Why? Because one slip-up might cost us the gold medal.

The game started with Ztec going out with all guns blazing but it took our opponents some time to get settled into the match. Ztec handed them 6 goals in the first period which really boosted the morale of team Ztec. We were on fire and kept on fanning the flame. By pushing ourselves, Ztec kicked the habit of the usual weakness of the team whereby we would tend to start slow and work our way up. This was different. We had a point to prove. From the moment we took our first step onto the court, till the last person stepped out, we were bringing our game, showing the people what Ztec is about, we were playing with all heart, and yes.... We were PLAYING FLOORBALL!

The second half looked bright for Contact as they weren't about to roll over and play dead. They brought a force that made Ztec push ourselves even more. Edward, captain of Contact scored a well taken goal which gave Contact a lil ray of sunshine and definitely something to shout about. But ZTEC responded by bagging another 3 goals, ending the 2nd period 3 goals to 1.The half time whistle sounded and it was time for a well deserved rest for both sides.

The referees blew their whistles and signaled for the game to start. Contact grew in confidence as they pressured ZTEC and chased for every ball. Unfortunately for ZTEC Edward and Penny scored 2 good goals, and they were leading for the start of the 3rd period. Ztec's coach called for a time out to give us a ''talk'', the talk that changed everything in the hearts and minds of the players. Ztec went back in scoring 6 goals ending the game with a bang, starting strong and finishing strong as well. The glorious thing about this match is that whenever the opposition scores, ZTEC with heads held high responded with positivity and scoring atleast two goals in return. The emphasis on this sentence is not about the goal scoring, but the emphasis is that ZTEC kept their heads held high. We did not allow ourselves to be pushed around, intimidated or even mocked. Instead, we strive to better ourselves. On the scoreboard, that is where we create our voice. On the court, that is where we make our stand.

Till the next game..1..2...Whooshh!!!
